Two of the Company's most exciting exploration prospects, Wodgina and Mt Webber, are located 50km to the west and 50km south-east of Abydos respectively, and come under the banner of the Greater Abydos project area. Both Wodgina and Mt Webber are host to large areas of surface iron enrichment defined by rock chip sampling, which the Company anticipates will provide an enormous boost to the resource inventory as they are explored in 2009.
In February 2008 Atlas acquired the iron ore rights to 774km2 of highly prospective tenements from Talison Minerals Pty Ltd, operators of the Wodgina tantalum mine approximately 90km south of Port Hedland. Field mapping and rock chip sampling by Atlas identified large areas of surface iron enrichment, confirmed by rock chip traverses. RC drilling commenced at Wodgina in November 2008 in an area of enrichment adjacent to Talison's South Tinstone tantalum open pit mine. This drilling met with immediate success, with the discovery of excellent thicknesses of good iron grades from surface at what has subsequently been christened the Anson prospect. An initial Inferred resource of 8.1 million tonnes at 57.5% Fe was announced in January 2009.
Drilling at Anson and the other iron ore prospects at Wodgina is continuing. Wodgina and Mt Webber are expected to contribute a large proportion of the Company's stated Greater Abydos exploration target of 100 to 140 million tonnes averaging 57% to 60% Fe.
Atlas have also signed an binding Heads of Agreement with Talison Minerals Pty Ltd which will enable Atlas to share use of the Wodgina mine infrastructure. This includes a modern crushing and screening facility , a gas-fired power plant, a 300-person camp and associated administration facilities. This will greatly facilitate the establishment of a mining operation at Abydos, in a shorter time frame and at reduced capital cost.

At Mt Webber, 150km south-southeast of Port Hedland, the Company has mapped extensive surface iron enrichment over a 2.5km by 2.5km area. Rock chip traverses conducted in mid 2008 include results of 166m at 62% Fe, 302m at 59% Fe and 656m at 58% Fe.
Initial heritage clearance surveys have been completed, and drilling is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2009.

The combined Abydos and Greater Abydos project areas are thought to have an exploration potential of 100 to 140 million tonnes at 57 to 60% Fe.
