Statements on Exploration Targets

Atlas Iron Limited – Statement on Global Exploration Target

Atlas has reported a total resource inventory of 184 million tonnes at 56.4% Fe consisting of resources at Pardoo, Abydos, Turner River, Mt Webber, Wodgina, Jimblebar Range, Western Creek and Caramulla South. While the Company intends to do further exploration on its tenements and remains optimistic it will report additional resources and reserves in the future, any discussion in relation to targets, resources, reserves or ‘ore’ over and above the resource of 184 million tonnes at 56.4% Fe is only conceptual in nature. There has been insufficient exploration to define a Mineral Resource over and above the resource of 184 million tonnes at 56.4% Fe, and it is uncertain if further exploration will result in the determination of a Mineral Resource over and above the resource of 184 million tonnes at 56.4% Fe.

Atlas Iron Limited – References to Individual Project Exploration Targets

The exploration target stated for individual projects are based on outcrop mapping of surface iron enrichment, rock chip sample grades and any applicable drill results >50% Fe, average drill intersection widths and grades, and typical ranges of values for iron ore bulk densities for the geological region in which the project is located. All exploration targets are conceptual in nature and should not be misunderstood or misconstrued as an estimate of Mineral Resources or Ore Reserves as defined by the JORC Code (2004). Atlas Iron Limited has not yet reported Mineral Resources for Jigalong, Woggaginna, Hickman, Weld Range or Mt Gould. There has been insufficient exploration to define a Mineral Resource within these project areas and it is uncertain if further exploration will result in determination of a Mineral Resource.
